In the chilly winter days, a warm current quietly flowed through the land of Wuqing, Tianjin. From January 13 to 15, 2025, with generous support from the Bosch Charity, Stepping Stones, a non-profit organisation registered in Shanghai, successfully organised a public welfare teaching activity aimed at enhancing the digital literacy of under-served children. This event brought a feast of knowledge and hope to over 60 children at the Growth & Life Centre in Wuqing, Tianjin.

Through Scratch JR programming classes, they designed simple games and animations, sparking their interest and curiosity in technology. The children, divided into small groups, took turns to “read” these “books” by listening to the teachers share their journeys of struggle, challenges, breakthroughs, and how they found light in adversity. This interactive session not only deepened the emotional bond between the volunteer teachers and the children but also planted seeds of resilience and courage to pursue dreams in the children’s hearts.
